Share-a-Track

Helping fellow ATV riders find and enjoy the many trails in Colorado and Utah

Our Share-a-Track service is a way you can share your trail riding information and pictures with other ATV Riders. In return for sharing your trail information you can purchase items from our online store at a 20% savings.

What we are looking for: Share-a-Track ATV rider is someone who loves to ride and explore with an ATV and GPS, saving trail tracks, taking pictures and/or video and marking points of interest along the way. This information can be sent to The Trails Path to be added to our database. We will check the information using our trail verification methods and organize it for other Trails Path users. In exchange for your trail information, you will be sent a shopping cart code Disount Code that saves you 20% on your purchases from our online store.

Trail verification methods

Method 1: The track is imported into map software to compare the track to the trails shown in the trail map software. This allow us to add icons, notes and pictures to the trail track. We then create a trail elevation profile to help with rating the trail.

Method 2: We import the trail track path into Google Earth checking the trail to a satellite view of the trails. We then create a virtual tour fly-over of the trail creating an arial view of the trail and terrain of the area.

We will check for services, camping and additional trail information to add to the trail's details for the data base.

To be eligible for the Share-a-track service you must be registered with www.TheTrailsPath.com and agree to the Terms and Conditions shown at registration.

Items required for the Share-a-Track program:

1. GPS Track in a GPX file format with the trail track path, route and waypoints saved in the file.
2. Pictures taken along the way on the trail ride (no more than 10 pictures).
3. Trail rating 1 thru 10 with a rating of 10 being unrideable.
4. Any detailed information and comments you have about the trail.
5. You must be able to email all this information to The Trails Path when requested.
6. The name of the author of the trail track information for credit.
